Yurifa is a Tokyo-born artist who majored in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
From a young age, she was exposed to the world of art, spending time at the Pompidou Center in France, where her artist parent exhibited and created works. This early experience allowed her to grow up surrounded by authentic art and creativity.
She performed a solo act at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, where her originality and use of the Japanese language were highly acclaimed.
After the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, Yurifa stayed with Parisian art critic Alain Jouffroy, who likened her to a reincarnation of Matisse.
In 2021, during the pandemic, she collaborated with Mitsubishi Pencil to create an art class aimed at promoting self-affirmation and emotional freedom through art.
